Santa Teresa is a connoiseurs travel destination in Costa Rica attracting surfers, hip, younger crowds and adventure travellers to its great waves, broad sandy beaches and dramatic sunsets. Just like Bali, Goa and Ibiza Ibiza years ago. The relative inaccessability of the area which is approached by ferry or small commuter flights has kept large scale development at bay. No condos no golf! The exquisite beaches and world class surf in Santa Teresa have drawn the international scene to this Costa Rican eldorado adding spices and styles to the local flavor. From a small fishermen's village, Santa Teresa has developed into a lively little town, with colourful cabinas, hotels, delicious restaurants and shops lining the road that follow the white sand coastline with its almond and palm trees.

For the non surfer there is excellent Yoga, horseback riding, fishing with the fishermen, exploring Cabo Blanco Natural Park and many other attractions. There is even an underwater volcano to explore. At sunset everybody heads for the beach to admire another spectacular sunset in Santa Teresa while making plans for the evening. In high season there is abundant nightlife in Santa Teresa with local Baile or international Dj's on the beach at Dia Y Noche.
